A Love Of My Own

Never Had I Thought It Would Be This Way
I Never Thought I Would Catch His Eye’s Ray
Never Did I Think He Would Greet Me
When He Came Down & Looked Upon Me
He Assured Me This Was Not A Dream
He Opened His Arms & Gave Me A Big Hug
That’s The Moment I Really Begin To Feel His Love
He Looked Into My Eyes & Steeped Straight Into My Heart
He Traveled Through My Body & Promised Me That We Would Never Part
He Stop At My Mind & Cleaned It Of All The Bad Thoughts
Then A Sweet Whisper In My Ear
Now My Child Please Know You Have Nothing To Fear
Begin To Believe With Your Heart & No Longer Sight
Listen To Me & Always Follow My Light
For The Eyes Can Show You Some Awful Things
What You Believe Can Easily Be Changed
So From Now Walk By Faith
Just Know That I Walk Within You & You Are Always Safe
I Assure You Walking With Me
You Too Will Inherit My Might
You Will Come Out On Top Winning Every Fight
At That Moment My Heart Begin To Smile
He Stirred Up My Soul & Planted Seed There, Promising Me It Would Grow
When I Asked Why Me? He Responded Because Heaven Said So
For Each Step That I Take, His Spirit Is With Me
For He Sent His Only Son To Die
So That I Can Be Free
Yes He Is My Heavenly Father, God Almighty
