Romeo and Juliet

Romeo and Juliet

A Poem by Laura Ex

Sweet longing
To not see you for days on end
And receive the sweet release
Of euphoria to simple see your name
For once we meet our eyes
After period of absence
They lock into place
And I can no longer look away
The swirling pool of
Spirit bubbling streams of life
Pouring from our mouths
After serenity gravitates our
Lips together
As I almost kiss thee,
But move away
And hope to live a few more days
Without you by my side
So passion may nest itself in
My aching, loving heart
So blooming in me, burning
Silently for your being
I fall completely in your surrender
And let go of what was
Holding me down
