Wrong Words

Wrong Words

A Poem by Laura Ex

Sometimes you say all the wrong things
And it might just be the way it seems
Because wrong sounds right to me
When I hear it all the time
Surrounding my life
Around in my mind
I don't know which is worse
There's nothing to love
Or I don't love you enough
Whatever the case, it comes down to this
Simple or complex, I've compiled a list
I will always love you more
And you will always know
That no matter what happens;
You're not allowed to show
How you feel for me at any point in time
The only thing allowed
Is to clutter my mind
With words of hate and insult and everything bad
Just as long as you keep happy with you
And without you nothing but sad
So I'm kept in place and you don't feel
Horrid for doing so
And I pretend that I'm all right with you
Everywhere I go
