Just Keep Walking

Just Keep Walking

A Poem by Laura Ex

I can hear the pit-pat

Of your jean legs swiping

Each other as you walk on by

You just keep walking

I can taste the sweat

Drop on your lip slipping

Down, salty on your tongue

You just keep walking

I can feel the magnetic

Pull from your heart, the

One that wants to yell

“Don’t walk away” but

You just keep walking

And now I see what

It really means to be

Alone.
