Line by line, I lie.
Love these words, like silver to the tongue.
Feel your breath get deep, your heart skips a beat.
I pray to god, I bite my tongue, I smile, I die.
A mask hides whats beneath, yet my voice hums.
Hand by hand as we see eye to eye.
Phrases spoken, words are broken and line by line, I lie.
Search for your answer, look in between the cracks.
My spoken phrases, broken words, and lie by lie, I write a line.
How can I have the world, yet say i'm giving more.
Live with a snake, risk being bit.
Award the winner, never praise defeat.
A world of freedom, so free it's sick.
Deception wins, performed without flaw, a magicians trick.
Lie by lie, I write a line.
I need not be wrong, because I believe i'm right.
Let's win it all, let's lie while hand by hand.
Winning is someone else's loss, did you forget that in life?
I need to not justify, but hide my feet.
I will be loved by most, own what I want, see what I believe... and yet Line by line,
I lied.
Line by line and day by day I lived with a person who lived like this. I can't decide if I am sick or fascinated, so I guess the poem had its desired effect. Perfectly loathsome character you have painted here.
Poetry speaks when my words can't. Watch me dance with words. Watch me create a world. I will undress who you are. Realize the masochist inside of you as my dominating words grasp that which lets you .. more..
