Snow Woman

Snow Woman

Snow woman, that's what I call her.
As she stares through the window,
as she stares from a distance,
her love can be felt,
her love can be seen.

I don't intend to be a wall,
yet block the Snow woman I do.
A human is what people see,
but a demon I am,
a demon that's mean.

Still knowing this fact,
still loves me does this Snow woman.
I will continue this lying image,
this painful good,
this painful theme.
Snow woman will you look for another,
another sun that shines during winter?
Shall you search for some other love,
a love that will let you enter,
a love that's for you.

This demon should make you run away,
yet you run towards it Snow woman.
See I found a flower,
one that's still a bud,
one that's yet to bloom.

Still this Snow woman still waits for me,
waits through the storm I leave behind.
She never causes trouble,
never bothers my flowers,
never enters my room.

She's not a cold person,
but warm is the Snow woman.
Her name is not that,
but what I call her,
what I love to say.

The Snow woman is that which is unique,
for her winter brings life.
Her name meant that which should stay away,
but to her means I call her perfect,
a perfect snowflake.

Please leave me in pain,
please break my heart Snow woman.
Before I do it first,
before I have my way,
before it's too late.

Why are you still here!
Why are you wiping my tears!
Can't you see I'm no good Snow woman!
Look at my flowers!
I've pulled them from their roots,
as my hands made them wilt,
as my hands are full of hate.

I shall never let you enter,
yet the door was wide open.
I deserve no love,
not from a Snow woman.
Still you will stay,
I do hope you stay.

I see you will continue to love this demon,
continue until this story becomes old.
I will continue to call you my Snow woman,
because it helps me feel better,
as I am the one that is cold.

This is a very cool poem. I like the contrasting imagery of the demon and the Snow Woman. "Demon" made me think hot, as in, hellfire, which was interesting when combined with the coldness of the Snow Woman - it made sense that the speaker would want the woman to stay away in order to protect her. (Of course, this is all metaphorical, which makes it particularly cool. Haha puns.) But then I read the last three lines, and they added a very intriguing twist to that idea. That is my favorite part of the poem, and the message is very interesting. Some say that Hell is in fact very cold because it is devoid of all love, and that idea fits these lines. I also really like the stanza that begins with "Please leave me in pain." Very interesting poem overall. Nice work!

Being in love means sticking through it all
The snow melts and turns the old into full green
No cold moment lasts forever and no warm moment is immune to turning cold

Thanks for sharing
