The StoryA Poem by unspokenpainpoetry speaksI'm covered in it, yet suffocate me it can't.It soaks the land, soaks my clothes, soaks my skin. I smile no more, yet happy I am. I grab my weapon, I work my body, and I play to win. Those who were on top, are now below me. This is my story, my chance to change, my escape from your sin. I was weak, but now I am strong. I stand in their defeat, I stand in their fear, I stand above men. I was once that who used to beg, now beg I do no more. They will cry, they will pray, they will plead. It's not my fault, as you were the ones to hurt me. So now you will suffer, now you will scar, now you will bleed. I had one that I loved. But then you chose to make me watch, as you stripped her pride, as you made her hurt, as you made her scream. It wasn't one person, but the whole world. The world that slandered her name, called her a witch, and took her life. So no, I didn't choose this. Just like her you will see fear, just like her you will lose your name, just like her you will die. I will not suffocate in your blood, but you will. I will not lose more which I love, but you will. I will not leave this world, but you will. I know I'm not a hero. I know there is no excuse. I know that this is wrong. But this is the worlds fate, the fate of those who hurt, those who looked away, and those who sinned. A sin with God's first was the start, the painful beginning. Now here I stand, watching as they do it again, never learning. So as told by my God,
I will be the choice, the choice to make it end. © 2016 unspokenpain |
