Doing Nothing

Doing Nothing

Poetry speaks

"
I sit here just waiting in this grand room.
Feeling so small compared to these four walls,
I wait.
Power surges through all my worldly urges,
and I do nothing.
I just sit here in this grand room,
waiting.

They stand as people in this open world.
All are moving never showing
their clenched hands.
Some are violent while others silent,
and I do nothing.
Still they stand as people in this open world,
dying.

We all stare at the endless sky.
Fingers reaching for stars like there ours,
and fall short.
None can touch the sky so high,
Except for I.
But I just stare at the endless sky,
wishing.

I grew up being told of infinite possibilities.
Just wanting to walk I did nothing but talk,
and here I am.
People kicking at my walls that are breaking,
I go to my knees.
I know what it means when you ignore your infinite possibilities,
everything.

Here I am world.
About to lose everything,
because I did nothing.
