The Dreamer

The Dreamer

A Poem by unsure
"

I feel as though society is stamping out creativity and brainwashing us to all do the same thing, to all do something 'responsible'.

"
She was just a dreamer
Stuck in a world of non-believers
She spent her days alone with her thoughts

And although she was alone
She was safe
And no one could hurt her

She was just a dreamer
Stuck in a time that imprisoned her
And as she was left alone she began to sink

And although she was safe
And no one could hurt her
They couldn't protect her from her own thoughts

She was just a dreamer
Stuck in a mind that suffocated her
And left alone, the dreamer was left to die

She was just a dreamer
Stuck in a world full of people
Full of people who just didn't understand

But now she's gone
And with her, her spar
kAnd without the spark there cannot be a flame
