A Poem by A Stranger's Tale
"

Three people.

"

the desperate lover that seeks for attention,
the boy that pretends but hears everything
The mastermind behind it all.
Dangling them like puppets from a string
pulling at their every chord,
forcing their every action.
insignificant,they are
to him
Delusional by the idea that is,
that is overrated.

She uses her searching eyes, scoping to find the essence of love,
but finds none.
He has predicted well.
He will sleep well tonight.
It is no use that she hit him
for he cannot be harmed
for it leaves a bigger scar on her than him at all
for it is he who sleeps soundly
while she harbors the hatred,
the hatred of the universe.

I enjoy this immensely. The last line is easily my favorite. Great piece of work, to say the very least.

I'm the first reviewer. That is amazing! I felt like I was the girl because I have a little hatred for guys like that. It has been a joy to read your poem, even though it is sad.
