Is kuldhara a horrid place ???? Part 3

A Story by vaishnavi

Jaisalmer: Known for having terrorized people for long with its ghostly tales,it was the moment of truth for Kuldhara, about 18 km from here,on Sunday night.
In its bid to bust several myths and tales doing the rounds regarding Kuldhara,a 16-member team from the Paranormal Society,New Delhi, had set up a date with Kuldhara on Sunday night.
Armed with electromagnetic devices, gadgets for recording noise and laser beam torches the members, led by Gaurav Tiwari, spread out amongst the ruins soon after sunset.
It was time to probe and get some real time answers about the ghostly town.
The equipment was laid out at many a places in the village, including a house and a stepwell (Baori). And if Gaurav is to be believed Kuldhara has paranormal powers.
The K-2 meter,a handheld device that detects electromagnetic fields, indicated the presence at some places while members of the team too felt it two or three times during the night.
They also claimed to have seen the handprint of a child on the vehicles mirror on their return journey.
The voice of a child, other unexplained noises including that of the clamour of metals was also claimed to have been heard by team members. The society has till now researched on paranormal powers at over 500 places in the world.

The myth continues...

Kuldhara about 18km west of Jaisalmer was the largest village in this community consisting of 84 villages. The village was established in 1291 by the Paliwal Brahmins and was a rather prosperous community due to their ability to grow bumper crops in the rather arid desert zone.Paliwal Bhramins were a very prosperous clan and were known for their business acumen and agricultural knowledge. But one night in 1825 all the inhabitants in Kuldhara and nearby 83 villages vanished in the dark.
It is believed that the evil dewan or the minister in the ruling kingdom wanted to marry the young daughter of the village chief. He gave them a deadline for the marriage after which he warned that he would forcibly enter the village and elope with the young woman. All the chiefs of 84 villages met one night and for pride and honour decided to leave the villages in the dark of the night.
Nobody knows where they went but it is believed that they settled near Jodhpur. It is believed that they cast a curse over the village as they departed that would bring death to anyone who tried to inhabit the land. The crumbling brick structures span out towards all directions and a ghostly silence is all that lives on there.

I really enjoyed this Vaish .It seems like there must be some truth to the myth.It would appear nobody can ever live there and even though reasearchers tried they still can't put logic to this supernatural occurance.Great job :)
