Preschooler's School

Preschooler's School

A Poem by Valencia Desouza
"

It is a poem expressing a child's fear for the first time going to a place called school.

"

A new home she is heading towards

A new way she is taken to

A new group she is going to be in

The tearful eyes all she has to see with

The paining of her throat

The burning of her eyes

The fear in her heart

Keeps her in wonder about her forthcoming

She will though forget the present in future

But the one who is taking her will always remember

But she has to walk alone now

The big road which is small for most

But the dropper knows that she will overcome

Consequently refuse to listen to her

The new faces she sees

Many being like hers

Tears flowing down their cheeks

Not letting their guardian to leave

Toys are around her tempting her for some moments

But entering the new world is making her shriek

The old walls she misses

But adjusts herself in the crowded room

Being in a place where no one she recognize

The guardian feeling pity still walks behind

Believing that passing the days she will accept the change

And no more her fear in her will cause any rage
