Sun In Your Eyes

I'm rolling my pants legs up
Before we wade in.
The water is colder than it should be
In mid-June and I want
To run back to the car
And dry off my feet but
You're there handling it
So I continue on.
There's a little fish flitting
Around your feet and I look
At your face.
Sun is peeking through trees
and landing on your eyes,
Making them shiny like the water below.
And there is nothing else in the world
But you and me and this water.
