#26 Dream Love

#26 Dream Love

A Poem by Aberrant
"

Wrote this one about my girlfriend. Now ex-girlfriend. Here's to 7 months...

"
"To imagine the girl, who's perfect for love,
To have that image be absolute."
The imagination grows for our lives to connect,
wanting your presence to last forever.
Your existence only in dreams, to be correct,
But then the dream begins to sever.
Waking up, those tired eyes, that image gone.
The window peaking out a sun.
Look to the side, beheld, what angel lays in my bed,
The exact one, popped out of my head!
To make sure this was no ruse, my hand lay on her arm
Startled she woke with an alarm.
She turned, and smiled, and kissed the hand light,
And laid back down, she said good night.
