SHARI
You took my hand and spared a smile,
For someone ,who though older,
Was by no means wiser,
You, an angel among phantoms,
With a heart made of gold,
Deserved a life that was longer ,
Than that which you were granted.
Beautiful as all brides are wont to be,
I watched you start another chapter,
Of a life that was destined for despair,
I watched helpless as the fates lovingly,
Caressed the thread of your life,
And then without warning snipped it apart.
Leaving those left behind,
Broken and bleeding from their vile treachery,
Your parents screamed ,
To any diety in any religion,
Who had an ear for a praying soul,
To return to them what was theirs.
Only to be left with memories that had a razor edge,
That made them bleed and left them ravaged,
Their own emotions ,like that of any traitor,
Hid in the dark waiting to strike when they least expected,
Now we realize that one soo good had no place in this wretched existance,
And placate ourselves with this knowledge.
