Treasure Chest

Treasure Chest

A Poem by Vinyl Ottoman Sr
"

Dream on

"

Last time I checked, my dreams were free

Always were " always will be.

So take it all, but I’ll still own

A ticket to the great unknown

Climbing mountains, chasing stars,

Rocket ships and racing cars

Deep sea diving, western wars

Crashing waves and golden shores

Free, oh free. These dreams are free.

No, you can’t take that away from me.

‘Cause it’s my right to close my eyes

Wander to a new surprise

Feel that rush of wonderland

Imagination’s course unplanned

So, take it all. Hey, be my guest.

My mind is still a treasure chest.

Overflowing with no bounds

Sights and smells. Angelic sounds.

Free, oh free. These dreams are free.

No, you can’t take that away from me.

Always were " always will be ....

Last time I checked, my dreams were free.
