The torture of my Life

The torture of my Life

A Poem by Josh Clifton

I have these thoughts
Feelings inside
My heart speaks to me
Life making me high

The simplest of words
Can touch my heart
The slightest touch
Makes me never want to be apart

Then it all
Comes crashing down
The smile I had
Turns to a frown

Reality sets in
It was too good to be true
Not meant for me
Could never have you

The blue skies
And sunny days
Are lost to grey
In a stormy haze

This is my life though
This is how I live
Always wanting
But more than willing to give

Maybe this is all
Life holds for me
To want and desire
For all eternity.

The pain shows through your words.
It is hard to live when what you were living for is gone.

Well written.

Gah... As true as this poem is, I don't wanna believe it. Sometimes its best for me to just rest in that little area of bliss... God love ignorance!
