Why Can't I Cry?

Short, and semi true.

Tears fill my eyes,

and none slide down my face.

Why can't I cry?

 

I am sad,

Inside and out.

I haven't shed real tears

In a very long time.

 

My eyes are wet,

and I want to let them go,

But I still don't cry.

 

I haven't see your face,

In a long, long time.

I hurt,

This you know.

 

Tears fill my eyes,

and they fall into my lap.

Why am I crying?
