Are you coming back?

When you left you said you'd be back soon.

  I thought you were only going out to get another book.

It's been an hour and you still aren't back.

  I'm worried, thinking the worst has happened.

I never thought that you weren't coming back.

   We need you here.

 

It's been weeks.

  I'm still hoping that you'll turn back.

This path hasn't been beaten, you're still welcome.

  I hope you know how much I love you.

And I miss you're sky blue eyes.

  Oh, how they would shine.

I never thought that you weren't happy.

 

The day you called, I cried so hard.

  You're voice was so over-joyed, much like mine.

Then you said you were a million miles away.

  I dropped the phone, and ran to our baby girl.

Finally, after a month, I gave her a name.

 

  Rain.  My blessing from above.

 

I went back to the phone.

  You were still on it.

I told you about her name.

  Will you come home,

Now that you're baby has a name.

  She'll know that you left us.
