Dancing among the stars

I have danced among the stars
and sang songs about life itself
into the universe
with nothing but hope in my heart
and determination in my eyes.
And when you hold me
inside your arms
I can see starlight shining
in between every word you say
and I think maybe for the first time
I understand
what it means to love.
