Serenity Socks

Serenity Socks

A Poem by Uriah Ocean

With white socks, your walking
staying white as chalk
walking on a blackened road
having no time to stop
close to a choice
leading to a road
of dirt, and mud, and grass
and with fear of getting dirty
you looked around for a "better" way
an escalator of glass,
clean, to your side
you look at it, hypnotized
and walked a few feet on it's glass
looking down at your feet, expecting white
but blackness fills your view,
and you run back in fright,
hoping He didn't see,
but dirt was still there
stained like the rest of we.
