Personal Masterpiece

Personal Masterpiece

A Poem by WhispersInfinity
"

You are beautifully unique.

"
I think everybody has it wrong.
Its not that pencil allows you to erase the past,
Pencils stain.
The Marking you once made will always remain,
But faded.
Like that time Billy hung up and never called back.
Or that time you failed in school and were held back.

Moment of Impact.
You can't erase them.
But these memories and failures,
F*****g embrace them.
If Billy called back you would have never met Will.
And who knows, maybe failing 6th grade first left you unfulfilled,
But motivated you for success.
Taught you how to impress at your very best.

It's rare to make a perfect stroke,
But when you do never gloat,
And if you don't, try again.
Because that's the power of the pen.

With no first stroke, there is no last.
That's how you got to the present from the past.
All the scratches, mark-ups and white out in between
Are just the beautiful stains that make you unique.

And if you cant produce a coherent thought,
Better to scribble the vacant lot than leave it there blank,
Because blank pages become copy paper.
Its always better to use an eraser than be someone else's emulator.

Enjoy your scribbles and stains,
Be at peace,
And then you will have complete release,
Since all the remains is your
Personal Masterpiece.
