Innocent and Watched

From a student in my Advanced English class

This was my favorite time of the night,
I'd be in my living room with three things:
my orange teddy bear, pink plastic chair,
and of course my sing-along Barney movie.

I was about two years old,
with curly pig tails in my hair.
I was so focused on singing,
and dancing in front of my dinosaur of a TV.

I didn't have a care in the world.
It never occurred to me that my
mom had been watching and video-taping
me the whole time.
