This reminded me of the star that guided the three wise men to Bethlehem. And we take lantern as the symbol of that star that we hang in our window which gives us hope/light.
Funny you may take my thought about it, but just want to say that even the wisest man needs light on his way...

very original piece, and I like the graph and the star metaphor in it! The first verses have amazing rhymes and somehow like an echo in mind...Then it become like music of repeating drums..Marching in dark shadows gives me impression of a soldier - or fighter with the life...Shadows are everywhere around us, if we want to see them! but most important is to concentrate on the glowing star..as you so nicely said " I`m worthy to stand the highs and laws" very true, dear Pax! :) as u show here, melancholia could be so creative!

Hi Kuya, it's been a while since I've read your poems :)

I like the flow of your poem and wow it gives a really different feel than from what I've read of yours. It only goes to show how much you've changed :)

You seem to take a detached approach to addressing the dreary, heart clogging dysfunction of melancholy, I did enjoy your word play, very well done!

A very wise, and playful poem of clever words my bro... you always think and think things through so well...

I find it interesting, this is sorth of a letter to yourself, or a dialogue you have with yourself.
The words are indeed a bit abstract, and how I could see you drawing... with the perfect color shades next to eachother, to merge. Stap by stap, slowly, but powerful. A fantastic piece Paxie.

A bit abstract yet I get this. You are trying to rise above the melancholy. Nice rhythm, nice internal rhyme.

"I protect thee, to fend off the crows
For I am worthy to stand the highs and lows"

I can feel the strength of the voice here. In this complicated life, still the will to survive is important. Though hardships were encountered and sadness is inevitable, the person has still the choice - to move on or to stop.

I like this piece of yours, Pax. Sorry if I haven't read this right away. I keep on chatting with you because I'm a talkative person. Lol.

Great!

Pax - the twist and turns of this... as a reader goes about with the tongue twister of a read...
