 Empty Canvas ~

 

as empty as it gets,

I stare and feel the color embrace me.

The abstract feelings that wanted to

come out yet still trapped within me.

 

I stare on the blank canvas,

Feeling the courage fading,

Losing my mind into vivid colors

      -   Just in thoughts…

Not being able to express them

Is just like making myself aware

that I have no talent in what so ever…

 

Did I lose my confidence that seeks?

Did I lose the passion that burns?

Did I lose my heart that shines?

 

Perhaps the cloud of doubt

    blurs many things…

Perhaps the road of uncertainties

    confuses many decisions…

 

Perhaps the water of creation

    is running dry…

I am losing myself,

     almost giving-up into death’s hands…

Yet…

I won’t give up,

Mastering the strength of what’s left

To find the muse of life

To keep me going a lifetime…

Author's Note

I was contemplating to come back or to completely closed my account, but I don't want to give up to the creativity I find releasing and uplifting for my soul and heart.

I owe the inspiration of this piece to this photo:
I can't paint

It is what I feel when I can't be creative, there is this urge to create within me or within us all. I think every artist knows that. It's been long, I haven't drawn or paint, I guess i really missed that.

I think the artist, if there is something that needs to be expressed, will find a way, somehow... It seems to take a muse of some form though, and perhaps a place with those with whom we want our pieces to be shared, to make these things find thier shape and be born and finished... It makes me wonder, in my own silence, what pieces are missing... a need for expression or the muse or the shared place... Anyway, I hope you have reawakened with this profound questioning piece, so honest and digging deep for this needed lifetime craft... Your words have weight and are needed and you have been a dear dear friend, so I am so glad you decided to remain here...

I am glad to have come back, remain strong enough for me to survived the challenges life throws at us. Without wc and my friends here(you included), perhaps my judgement in life will be very cloudy and I'll feel more isolated.Poetry helped alot in easing the tension of the mind and heart... thank you very much my friend... i have come to know this is true in many examples:
But think of this one and it makes perfect sense to examine it:
The world was created from Void from nothing,came our everything.
Stay safe..And be well and try to get past the Holidays best you can. I know your homesick.
I hope you can come home soon. try to enjoy the memories and try to make this one a good memory for your later years. try to remember "Happiness" is a choice. So choose to make this one special in it's own right :-)

Indeed I am - homesick - it's been two years now, I can't shake off the feeling that I missed the warmth of family and closed friends. Specailly this holiday season on which many of my family gather to celebrate and enjoy the season, it is quite different from here. Thank you, I choose to be sad now, then perhaps later to be happy. you have warm my heart my friend. I have contemplated that decision, but i never did regret doing it. I guess its part of my life that I needed to do. In this being away for two years I have come to realize many parts of my life, many things that I am capable off, many things that I needed more time to accept. In writing my feelings, I come to understand who I am as a person, who I am deep inside that before I never did took notice. Perhaps I am more aware now. I guess poetry brings many things to light. again.... Thank you so much.

i truly liked the photo/painting. there's so much colorful inspirations/lessons we can take from our surroundings and even from ourselves but we overlooked to see them and thus, we tend to look on an empty canvass. Life is a muse in itself. Nicely penned. Happy holidays!
