Transform Me

Transform Me

A Poem by Will Nething

"Transform Me"

Lord, my flesh is weak

When temptation comes.

This endless streak

Of Satan's drums

Blurs my mind.

Let me use Your Word today

Your strength to believe.

Help me keep those drums at bay;

Let me Your grace receive

Its power use to win.

My power, as Your child,

Is not ingrown, but by Your will

I will fight the dark so wild.

I can't, but You can kill

The flesh desiring to sin.

If I give,

Lord please use your prod.

My life's not mine to live

For me but to glorify God

Because He made mankind.

Godspeed the day

My face like Yours will be

And sin will cease to play

And mar the imagery

Of Your perfect Son

I am a sinner. I need Jesus. With Jesus I can and must love others. If I do not love others, it shows that I am a sinner. This shows that I need Jesus. And with Jesus help, I can and must love others... more..
