A Battle Within

A Battle Within

A Poem by Christopher 'Windstorm' Kells

a journey taken

little is known

anger is wanning

yet the moon is waxing

power grows uncontrolable

eyes haunting my dreams

flames burning

with hatred

a skeleton hand

rips souls

like harvesting fruit

laughing hatred

whilest eyes flood

tears of sorrow

regret

lost in thought

sickness drips

like blood pooled

a soul nomore

a ragged thing

remains

with black heart

no remorse

wanting everything NOW!

yet nothing given

something yearns

wanting within

a hunger, a longing

happiness a fairy tale...

Oh, how sad a poem...this reminds me of someone I know - someone without hope or longing for anything. Very moving write. Thank you.
