Soul

Soul

A Poem by Christopher 'Windstorm' Kells

words appear

thoughts flung far

uneasiness creeps

shy uncertianity

lost with found

a trail taken

chosen quickly

regret nevermore

grasp reality

stoke the fire

passionate longing

a seeking mind

problems tossed as confetti

confidence lost

self-esteem torrmented

to tasteless ashes

simple pleasures

are shards of glass

ripped, shredded throat

a voice harsh

seemless gutteral

whispers threats of happiness

only the soul cries

sorrowfilled

hollow

a man going mad

yet only wanting

no longing

no wishing for happiness

another year passes

another tear falls...

Ah, this is such a melancholic write for me - beautiful and powerful imagery and yet I am left sad with a tear falling. Thank you.
