Love Letter To My Children

Love Letter To My Children

A Poem by Wendy Karasin
"

One family's journey.

"
As the year draws to a close
a tough year to be sure
by anyone's standards
And as we get closer to understanding
each other
and ourselves more
I begin to glimpse once again
the wonderment that life asserts
Joyfulness is not held
in song alone
it is held within our deepest pain and
most wrenching tears
We are learning.....
for we have succumbed to them all,
and more than once
As this year begins its descent
I acknowledge the contributions
my children offer -
so often -
and look forward to the ones
yet to come

You are welcome...:)..................
I always feel the binding role of family.
There may be ups and downs in the family.
Still family is paradise and children are angels.
Thanks for sharing this work.

This is beautiful. Family... a collection of short journeys that get us all to our destination. A series of new beginnings and ends. Your analogy of joy and tragedy... "wrenching tears"... and strength through your children in their "contributions"... it's truly a beautiful picture you paint.Thank you.

My pleasure.
It's hard pulling back into being a family again after the nest thins out and life intrudes. And yet sometimes that same life brings them back sometimes shaken sometimes shaking. Family has to count... but who decides the price?
