The Other Ode

The Other Ode

A Poem by Erin Sky
"

English follow up! Hope it doesn't suck, these things are always better in French.

"

Sometimes an unknown

like the leaves that will come

from the branches.

These times are playing with us

so the year passes, like the winter we welcomed

with cold, with flaming torches

Now a forbidden one

like sand and rain.

Your hands enchant me

(moving, making intoxicating waves

that hide us from the world)

ah, your eyes are ravishing, too.

Are you still forbidden, as yet unknown

like these words that you have not heard?

I wonder again.

Long gold, violet voice

and this quickly stolen/flown heart

I think of them and know: they are my treasures.
