a wedding poem

Rose petals of love

fall at your feet

a sweet begining

we will soon meet

 

you say you will

I say I do

we start our lives

together a new

 

you pledge your love

and I`ll pledge mine

and our love will

begin the test of time

 

your gown of blue

your hair of gold

just the sight of you

warms my soul

 

after today

our hearts will beat as one

I pledge my life

I pledge my love

and I pray

for guidance from above...

Rosettes

Pretty rosettes fall
over deep blue skies
as they lift the pall
from my lover‘s eyes.

I'm not upset! Then I'll continue to write tiny gift response poems for you to keep as your own. They are just poems written in my unique style which in no way is better or worse than your own. Every poet develops a unique style which is their signature. Do your own thing. The last thing that I want is for everyone to write according to my unique style. There are an infinite number of styles. Find that pretty shoe that fits your foot.

You're welcome! I enjoy using meter and exact rhyme to produced a sing-song poem whereby I only use each rhyme word once within each poem because I‘m good at doing this, but other poets are good at doing other things. Take care!
