Sickly

The fever rages, palms so clammy
Head pounds as the blood simmers
Achy body sends you staggering for comfort
Draped afghan a soothing release as
Body trembles, the chill sets in

Coughs so raw, shredding the lungs
Nose, a rampant river of pollution
Thoughts so addled, so dazed
Stranded on a cushioned futon
Lost in the sea moistened tissue

Comfort rations, required…desired
The creamy heat slithers down the body
As broth is absorbed.
Whines stammer from the mouth
Begging for stamina, longing for health

What a fantastic description.....I am totally sick now because this was so descriptive I feel that I've been exposed...LOL. Brillant and fun read.
