The Ocean that is our mind.A Poem by writingonthewallThere is an ocean you have yet to explore.
I'm drowning
This depth blocks out the sun Darkness, and silence are my companions I let myself sink Will I hit the floor? Is it made of rock or stone? Deep Deeper Deeper and deeper still. A wave or two into a current i go I see life down here The cold then hits me then a heat does too I hear the thunder up above Now the pressure rises My chest.....the implosion from the explosion I c-c-can still breathe but barely. Then a warmth A warmth so minute it's hardly there A warmth so soothing it calms the soul I find truth I find lies What lies underneath this body? But again the pressure My lungs are spent....A deficit I lose a precious gift My body continues to submerge A merger occurs Between this world and me To think how this all started When all i wanted was a swim © 2015 writingonthewall |
