The Colour of Strangers --02--

The Colour of Strangers --02--

A Chapter by Mel
"

One little boy, abandoned by his sister, abused by his father, and on the verge on insanity.

"

I'm home alone.
Alone,
so alone.

The silence is thick,
I can cut it,
feel it;
I can't breathe.

Help me breathe.

Sister, where are you?
Why did you leave me?
The clock is ticking
down the seconds.

The time brings closer
the steps of our father.
He hurts me, Kayleigh.
Why aren't you here?

Can't you s a v e m e ?

My arm is hurting.
Should I cut it?
It makes me feel better.

Nothing can feel better
unless it knows
what pain feels like.

Ah, the blood.
It's red and thick.
Like your hair, sister.

Why did you leave me?

Maroon.
The colour of my blood.
The colour of your hair.
Shall it be the colour of
my life?

The life that our father takes away.

I am so alone.

Crying,
sobbing,
shivering.

H e l p m e s i s t e r .

Don't you remember me?
Caleb.
Caleb.
You used to say that
as you rocked me to sleep.

Will you cry for me,

Kayleigh,
when I am dead?

The clock ticks time away.
Look at the crows
as they fly away.

Black as sin,
evil as hell.
One, two, three...
Too many to tell.

Footsteps closer.

Closer to my door.
One, two, three...
And he's got me on the floor.

Help me, sister.

Take me away.

Maybe God can save me one day.

I am indescribable, but which of us isn't? I am whimsical at best. My interests vary; a bi-polar spectrum of wants and feelings and needless thoughts; wants for the passions I desire; feelings for th.. more..
