Dark Rainbows

Dark Rainbows

A Poem by ~DeathByButterflies~
"

It would have been better if it was longer, but it's not, and I'll leave it like it is.

"
So if in the darkness
All color fades,
And light leaves you nothing
On endless days,
Know that the light
Did not leave,
It merely changed,
Meant to deceive.
There was nothing
In this endless sea,
That could make me think of more
Or end and leave
On this sorrowful day.
Forever seems so far away,
But when it ends,
Life decays.
Dark rainbows,
Hold together this light.
Dark rainbows,
The ones who control the night.
Through them you see gray,
All that is outside.
Wherever is the light?
It must hide within.
If taken to see,
Maybe it'd be
More than just a rainbow,
But a lifeline.
Of course,
It can't be,
This figment of light
Is nothing more
Than an endless dream.
Wake up,
And see that this day
Ends with the light,
And leaves all behind.
Dark rainbows,
Hold together this light.
Dark rainbows,
Take control of this night.

About
I guess you could say I'm just a kid that likes to write poetry. I'm little more than that, really. I write how I feel, and feel how I write. It may not always be the best decision, or the best writin.. more..
