"

A poem about anxious attachment and how it can destroy our sense of self beyond the other person

"
Drowning eyes fill behind rose-colored spectacles.
We mourn happily, suffer so peacefully that
Nothing could ever move us from this mountain of lies.
Devotion is a marvel, a heartbreaking force.
We're swept away by the wind of whispers from another.
Doomed by their own satisfaction,
and anchored by our own ability to meet them.
