Chilli

Chilli

A Poem by zainul
"

A seed of chilli fruit grew up as an amazing plant

"
My garden has a new guest
It has seized our normal rest

It is a wonderful chilli plant
Sprouting from a seed it grew so smart

Saw a tiny green baby in the pot
Then magics happened on the spot

Branches came as quick surprise
Green leaves reached full size

Cleaned the weeds by manual toil
Supplied manures to the barren soil

Leaves glittered as we sprayed water
Applied some egg shell powder

Checked the plant for any bug
Sunshine and air gave their hug

Small buds peeped on the stems
They formed flowers like white gems

Suddenly we saw a chilly fruit
It hang among leaves and shoot

The chilli plant is a great treasure
We immensely enjoy  divine pleasure

You narrated the entire story of the birth of a tiny plant to it's fruition with such flair. Only a true nature-lover could have told this tale so beautifully! My compliments sir!

Thanks for sharing.
The art of gardening this is! You've shown the steps of growth precisely while accentuating the poem with the rhyming sequence and simplicity.
Is it a "bombay chilli" plant, by the way? =P

This makes me think of the "Medusa Pepper" plant. It get the tiniest of white flowers prior to putting on fruit then upon maturation the fruit turns from green to purple; beautifully colorful plant as they do not all turn together.

I am so ready for spring and planing season.

Beautifully written

Nice. I love watching plants grow. They start out so small. And then they grow so big. It's nice to watch. The most rewarding for me would be a tree. Where I live the wind gets crazy, so any baby trees we plant get uprooted and they die. So the ones that actually do grow fully are the ones that are powerful; and they will outlive me. Trees, closest thing to immortality in my opinion. Lovely poem, Zainul :)
