Upset by the horror caused by ants that plundered into my computer

Ants are moving inside my computer monitor
I feel helpless where to find an exterminator

What the humans have done to the ant community
Why they come in groups to attack our property
Who is responsible to invite this menace
How can we get rid of such penance

Ants plundered our sugar and bread
They damaged clothing by eating thread
They eat flowers and roots of plants in the garden
They carry away food of pets and human
They bite and inject painful formic acid
I wonder why they have so much greed 

I am totally upset by this tiny vermin
It has conspired to stop my writing

ants are to be admired for their communal lifestyle and their strength and intelligence. now, that being said..i worked for a major pest control company for 4 years. here is what to do. go out to the feed and seed or dept store and find something called "terro" ant traps. they will find it, feed on it, take the poison back to the queen and that will destroy the whole colony. that is the only way!!!!

I am very fortunate to have such a great exterminator among the talented writers.It would not have been possible to locate you had not the ants invaded my computer.

describe it to your hardware store manager. he will point you in the right direction. there are many brand names for the same product. it is a tiny plastic box filled with a clear insecticide which ants cannot resist, they swarm into it and stay there until they have consumed it, then they take it to their queen and feed it to her...when it kills her they all die or move on....usually the former.

We always used original grits, not the instant kind. i think it works the same. a friend of mine suggested it and he did pest control for a few years to. it seems to work for him when i visited him in Georgia.

we had built anthills
yonder in the forests
had food enough to stomach
still left so much also for others
you destroyed our homes
to build your silly mansions
our source of food you ate
ate less and plundered more

Oh my word.... that would be my worst nightmare to have ants crawling all over my computer monitor.. it's bad enough having to deal with the tiny vermin when away on what should be a relaxing holiday.... I'll never forget staying with family in very hot climate I was left home alone and decided to go out for the day. Worried about not been back to to feed the family cat... I put the cat tray *WITH FOOD IN IT* outside so that the family cat could eat later....... NOOOO.... when I returned later that evening... I saw the cat with it's back arched and it's hairs sticking out with it's eyes ablaze. It wasn't until I saw the cat tray... that my back arched and the hairs on MY body were sticking out and my eyes widened with fright.... ANTS....ANTS ANTS... billions and trillions had worked their little legs all the way to the cat tray and formed the biggest Ant GLOBE I have ever seen hahaha. After hosing them down with water washing the little mites away... I quickly learned my lesson... Cats are self sufficient and Ants are a pain in the A***!

Small, evil, terrible little creatures. I have dealt with this in my kitchen and it is not a fun thing. Back to the poem...I liked the descriptions, but I can see a more global metaphor here. Ants in the computer...ants in the head; little things that conspire to stop our creative craft. Interesting piece!

I have an ant infestation in my apartment and I can relate to this poem. haha
They are everywhere, crawling on my floor, walls, laptop- even on me. And that happens every summer. :(

Oh dear. I have had ants invade my sugar and my flour and I keep these things refrigerated now. But I never had them in my computer.There was a terrible plague of ants in myneighborhood once, and I got some ant bait to set around. It worked, and I have not had ants in the house since.

Marie,I got your amazing note just after opening my computer.I really love to see your photograph and enjoy reading your reviews.But,I am very sorry to inform you,as I am writing this comment many ants are moving inside the monitor.I can't catch them and wipe them.Aerosol,spray or bait can't reach them.Trying to apply them inside the computer may be a catastrophe.
This was really a bad experience for you that ants took your sugar and flour.
I am happy to learn that you could manage them.I also hope that scientists will develop an ant-proof computer someday and offer us an opportunity for writing in relaxed mood.

No, you can't use any kind of spray on your computer. You need to follow the trail of ants and see if you can find its source, then destroy the hive.
