typing not writing

A Poem by Zatoichi
"

spontaneous combustion

"

feeling not thinking
twisting not shaking
floating not sinking
thinking in knots.

standing not sitting
bending not breaking
unknowing, unwitting
unable to rhyme.

living not dying,
sparing no time
for artless lying
or literature.

When we can write on the subject of being unable to write, we have crossed a plateau of sorts.
I love the crisp, teeth-clenched, fists-knotted feel of this.
Please view my, 'Three At Lunch" for another take on "benmding, not breaking".
Please view my, "Stillness" for a differnt viewpoint on "floating, not sinking".
What means the Japanese phrase in your bio? All the Japanes I ever learned was in "Shogun", and I've forgotten most of that, gomen nisai.
