Michelangelo's DavidA Poem by Zicny TeohMy first poem on desire and loveRed-hot embers and flaring flames, You lit my world with flickering flames, With just a touch of burning fire, You morphed into one of desire. My love for you sung a thousand years, From faded love letters, Which withheld against the test of time, Never forgotten and forever mine. Your very eyes decipher mine, Your soul the song to life, Your face is sculpted perfection, Your voice is my lullaby. Your heart is the only thing I need, You’re my dreams, my hope, only mine, The only reflection of my soul, Even when I grow old. © 2015 Zicny Teoh |
