Meaningless Words

Meaningless Words

A Poem by PurpleCupcake

---
poems
are sweet
sour
pale
and colored
poems
are elaborate ways
of saying
what is so hard
to hear
to hard to see
to hard to say
poems
can be dreams
or maybe
a slice of cherry pie
and perhaps
your darkest fears
and desires
poems
can rekindle a flame
that has long been
frozen
they can make one weep
tears of all kinds
poems
are silent pleas
for aid
are proclamations of
adoration
and love
poems
are the impossible made
possible
can be a series of
broken hearts
strung and
hung upon a wall
as decoration
poems
are meaningless words
