Dancing in the Rain

Dancing in the Rain

A Poem by PurpleCupcake
"

Anyone who thinks that sunshine is pure happiness has obviously never danced in the rain.

"
Wild hands and wild feet
squelching mud beneath
streaks and splotches
of clear, cool liquid
gliding across skin
heart keeps beat
and rain is the instruments
move to the wild, fantastic beat
of the rain
spinning and gliding
and jumping
and striding
leap high
clap once to the beat
tap feet
faster and faster
and faster and faster
higher and higher
and higher and higher
until no more can be took,
until collapse
in a heap on the mud
breathing deep
close eyes
rest hands and feet
sleep in the rain
until the sun comes out again.
