About Me

Long Hiatus...work has consumed much of my free time; not to mention my brain capacity.

Written in child's scrawled hand on delicate skin;
Marker tattoo faded to freckled trails whispering.
She's in there;
That child.
That dreaming girl on blue playground swing.
I know her name.
That child,
Trailing gym shoe laces walking within.

I'm OK now...I nailed my freak out of ydy in THE ANGEL FISH OF MONACO which started out as an entirely different effort, a sort of positive conceit, but had now become a negative poem, but utterly truthful. Hmm, but a blast of truth is not always the welcome! The bit about the three crows was very odd...I mean three crows crowing their heads off over a small English city in the dark, at 9 p.m.!

Excellent. Great you are bringing your own brood up to look after nature. Your own ancestors would approve highly.

What kind of nests did you save? Here in UK wren nests are among the most appealing, being utterly delihtful...and dippers...all moss and usually under bridges in very wet places. Swifts my favourite birds...believe you call them chimney swifts in the USA. The UK swifts come up from S.Africa...wonderful flyers.

Cheers. By the way I love that image of the green man you have on your ode to an oak poem. Believe old English for oak was 'aik'.
