glad u joined the group! Some are more active than others, however, everyone there has something going on, whether it's writing, music, art, and now performance:) Feel free to submit stuff - they tend to give quality reviews, which is hard to find on this site. Anyhow, I usually ask that the first piece you post be the one that received the most "views" - not mandatory, just something we do for fun. take care!

Well I just put L.A. generically because if you tell most people Pasadena or Duarte, they're like "Where?" though I guess Pasadena is a bit more recognized worldwide. Right now I currently reside in Duarte, which is like 20mins from L.A. (like always, depending on traffic), but I lived in Pasadena for like the last 10 years until the rent got ridiculously high thanks to all those 1500 dollar a month lofts! However, I did grow up in L.A. downtown to be exact. Don't ask me how that's possible, long story lol

Love is a home for your soul, a spiritual blueprint which allows us to build a life guided purpose and divine light. Love washes over us like raindrops from heaven bathing us in meaning, purpose and joy. Seek the company of souls adrift and let your love wash over them as doing so will awaken humanity to unimaginable bliss. Hey, glad u sent a request over, your profile seems pretty cool, AND you live in L.A., which is also good because I may start an L.A. or Cali writing group here, maybe lol Anyhow, glad u took the time to review "Welcome to the Carnival" - I'm pretty iffy on that particular piece. Mixed feelings, really. But I'm really into imagery and dialogue (the latter's always tough in poetry), which if u read my work and, uh, frank reviews lol you'll notice

you're very welcome on the reviews, your poetry is lovely! i'm in dallas over the summer taking some classes at ut arlington, but normally i go to texas a & m university in college station (go aggies!)... i'm originally from dallas, though, lived here my whole life, so the city's my home <333

Just be yourself. =D
Keep writing and network with as many people as you can.
There are a lot of people using this site. So many different stories and backgrounds. It's a great place to learn how to critique others and also a place for you to improve your own writing through the critique of others.
Have fun and don't get in my way. haha jk
