Life before death

Anyone ever stop to think how short life really is? In 100 years from now you will be gone, but you will never be forgotten. You will live on by those who can tell your story.

Live life as it comes your way.

Don't wish for extra time or an extra day.

I know life isn't as easy as we made it out to be.

But you can make it through it because I'm with you and you're with me.

How many times do you sit there and just cry?

How many times do you think of those who have had to say good-bye?

Life is flawed,

But still I applaud,

Those who have made it so far,

No matter where you come from or who you are.

We have grown to adapt to the challenges life throws at us.

Just getting through these obstacals is a must.

The past and future won't get you anywhere.

Just focus on the present because you have so much life to spare.

Even if I said you were to die tomorrow,

Even if that statement fills your heart with such sorrow,

Rememeber this, for which I tell it,

You must learn to live life bit by bit.

Don't take a leap,

That will knock you off your feat.

Just take a step with your feet firmly on the ground underneath you,

And live life the way you were meant to.

Thanks for reading :) It's kind of a depressing topic and one that I have been dreading since I was 8. I remember when I first found out that life wasn't forever. I cried for hours because I was so scared. It took me a few months to just accept the fact that even though you are gone, your spirit and your legacy will still remain.
