Spinning Jenny

Spinning Jenny

A Poem by Alistair (Ali)

You
are somewhere close
yet dislocated, sheltered
in your centered peace
adrift beside all certainty.

We
turn as apron-ed satellites
in matinee of gentle speak,
our mundane, London-Saturday
the soundscape to your stasis.

Surrendered
to this bastion  of valiant
machinery. Your pillars
in this paradise of waiting.

I'm sorry that I'm late to review this my friend, it's deeply powerful, Your painting is highly supreme, I could feel the moments of separation getting near, and I could feel You feeling Your sister as if she was speaking only to You, trusting You... this is haunting my friend, with the most effective poignant ways.

May She ever bless You from above✨🌟✨

Thank you kindly- and good to see you!!
So very sad Ali. In your words, so filled with shock and pain, illness and hospitalization disconnects the “You” from the “We”. The “bastion of valiant machinery”as a Nurse, I know it all too well. Your poignant poem, shows a family by the bedside waiting with hushed breath for a good outcome- for any good omen. Beautifully penned, honest, so eloquent. Blessings and peace wished for you and yours, my friend.
