Mystic Metaphor

Mystic Metaphor

A Poem by Anand Sehgal

Today we have nothing to speak out;

What prevails  is the self-doubt ;

A sudden victory  fails to trigger rejoice,

The treasure  that is lost is the voice .

Yet all the conflicts choose to live on ,

Sheltered by the “head and heart” siphon;

Remains as it is, the goal to strive for,

Life goes on like a mystic metaphor .

The elusive essence of life is much like a mystic metaphor! We do not act as we are held back by fear, self-doubt, and the voice to speak up for that which we believe in!
The conflicts do not end as we choose not to end them - mind over matter, heart over reality, which shall it be? It is a puzzle to far too many!

This stanza really spoke to me,

"A sudden victory fails to trigger rejoice,

The treasure that is lost is the voice."

An absolutely beautiful, and very insightful piece of writing! I thoroughly enjoyed this!

thanks a lot dear , Glad the write made you think a bit .:)

Love :)
The journey awaits
An invitation for you
To unravel the knots
Of your existence.
Shall you seek
the comfort of shelter?
Or venture to the edge
Ready to fall?
The adventure is there
For the taking.
The mystery of who you are
Is your metaphor.

Life goes on like a mystic metaphor.

What a fantastic line. I wish I'd thought of that. Great poem.

And now for a giggle. Here's my play on your line--Life goes on like a mystic, sadistic metaphor.

Thanks a ton Sir. I'm very Glad :)
This is lovely. I love the last line - the perfect finish. I too would get rid of the comma's - they aren't needed. The poem has a beautiful flow without them. I enjoyed this one very much. :) Julie
