"All The Searchers..."

"All The Searchers..."

A Poem by Chris
"

Finding our way...

"

A friend described going “clubbing” at 2 AM or such all over town (if you can call London, New York, L.A., Miami, Prague, Tel Aviv, Rotterdam, Paris, Moscow - and such any and every WHERE - “town”).  She and so many others describe and define the scenes.  The various houses being ROCKED - floors so packed tight, lights arcing, flashing, splashing -  the “world” moves to their jumps, reachings, slams, jerking and turns, pressing …hell even breathing.  All - a life staggering, surreal but happening - as the sounds of the worldbeat flow through-and-through their bodies and existence!

Seduction comes in many forms -

heat flows as we feel the need,

and when the fingers tighten HARD

is when we KNOW what we want

and where - and how...and there IS

no whys ...anymore.

“All The Searchers…”

Reading you aloud...

the background your sound - your call,

the echoes

its echoes -

swirling,

surrounding...

And still the flight follows -

paths and corners racing...

the taste of blood rising

and the sightless moving

...jounces, flies, falls

rising riding currents

I CAN see...

finally, fleetly ...moments to eternity...

one-by-one cascading -- drawing,

beckoning,

GRASPING tight.

I know being alive ...now.

The sheer existence within a breath.

What it IS to FEEL my heartbeat pause

...and know little deaths.

We live for the taste of forever...

and search the barren worlds of all the ethers

- ever looking, ever reaching -

through the tears of BEING

...to find who we are.

and sometimes...

just        sometimes

- we really do find -

the WHO and see

the where we ARE meant to BE!

And there are no ...words...

anymore…

anymore

The flow carries us...

enwraps and closes

and tightens

...tighter still...

and we -

we - ARE…are

...finally home.

ARE

Finally …finally

Home…

Yes …please

Chris

The title drew me to it Chris
the self acceptance of "sometimes we really do find the WHO and see the Where we are meant to be," great stuff simplistic but talks to me of recognizing ourselves after a journey our place as you say, home, which is often in ourselves.

tis a good place...I think you WILL like it here
Ok... I feel like a silly groupie... But that was amazing my friend. You have an incredibly powerful ability to transport a reader into their emotions. And paint a picture they can live, breathe and taste. Few achieve such lofty heights with their creations. Yet consistently I find myself on a tear, whispering an encouragement or braying in laughter with you. I always believe that if something inspires you to think or to feel it's good... For we live in a world of such shallow means these days. You inspire. From Laurentian depths my friend. I think I'll leave a chair right here... I can always buy another. If thats ok with you?

I'm glad you paused with me today... it's made a difference.

I love these lines, Im not even sure what drew me to them. It makes me feel like life is going to be okay, that deaths will slow and life will thrive, I really appreciated this poem! Definitely was one of my favorites!

The above lines were my favorite. I had to read a few times. So many great lines in the poem. I'm glad I found your poetry tonight. Always alive and strong my friend. Thank you for the outstanding poetry.

I feel it is a wonderful sensation on how music makes us feel, come alive. To think that one feels so trapped, so dead inside that without it, they are doomed to a life of silence and loneliness. I guess it feels good to be in the crowd sometimes, no matter how tight it might be...to feel apart of something new.

Sigh! Even with the loud music blasting your words are still louder…
