Wish on a Shooting Star

Wish on a Shooting Star

A Poem by Bhumika Devkota

A shooting star passes by,

At the dawn of the light.

A wish is made,

To have a restful night,

But a wish shan’t come true

For does who disobey.

So a restless night comes,

Full of toss and turns

Dreams turn into nightmare

And a shattering glass is all but broken.

Shows how one wish for a restful night sleep but ends up with a restless night. shows how even a simple wish may not come true.
