For Love

What is this feeling?

This feeling I have never felt before...

I was never one to care for love,

Now I just want more.

More of you.

 

What have you done to me?

Why can't I breath?

I'm not seeing clearly, dear.

 

All my life I've been alone,

Never knowing I needed hope.

Something to have and something to hold.

Something to belong to me.

Can that be you?

 

I want to be your hero more than I can say,

But I am a villain and my heart will never change.

I want you to run but I need you to stay.

Run somewhere safe.

 

Maybe I should run...

 

I am a monster and un-trustable.

How can you love the unlovable?

How the hell can you love me?!

Is this a trick or are you crazy?

I am definitely crazy...

 

My love, just hold me and let me pretend...

Let's pretend we're in another far off land.

Together, will you still hold my hand?

Just like you hold my heart...

 

I want to tell you "I love you" but words mean nothing to me.

Instead I'll just hold you and let you be a part of me.

Forever accept the monster I will always be...

This was powerful, I liked it that it doesn´t end with the typical "living happily ever after", liked very much the theme. About the structure I liked it too, I like the when you make the character ask and specially I did like the ending, was perfect ending to this poem. Since I´m a very novice writer I have not much clue about poetry structure, but love reading it and writing my own "poetry" some people may call it that. Great read.
